OUTLAWZ: JANUARY 2017 PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE

This is my first challenge for 2017.

The January 2017 challenge at Outlawz starts with a beautiful image from All Dress Up called "Butterfly Kisses".  It's perfect to bring a bit of change in the middle of winter.

I colored the image with Copics, embossed white cardstock with "Silhouette Grass" embossing folder by Sheena Douglas, and accented with butterflies using Martha Stewart "trio of butterfly".  I added some clear glitter embossing powder.  I also used my favorite tool "Perfect Layers" ruler to cut the mat around the white cardstock. I left it blank so I can use it for any occasion.

Happy Crafting!....

C.A.S. BABY CARD

One of my coworkers asked me to make her a very simple card for a baby shower she will be attending on Friday. The sex of the baby is a kept secret.  So here's what I came up with.  I hope you like them just as much as I enjoyed making them.  I am going to let her choose.

Cards are both sized at 5" x 7"

Top card:  Paper from Recollections "All Seasons" cardstock
Spellbiders Majestic Label Twenty Five
Bottom card:  Paper from "The Blossoms Butterflies" 4.5x6.5 stack by DCWV
Spellbinders dies (can't remember which one....sorry )
Baby carriage die from ebay
Ribbon from my own Cotsco stash
Envelope and liners made using WRMK 1-2-3 Punch Board

ANGELA'S HEARTS AND MEMORIES AUGUST RELEASES

I know I have been MIA for quite a while, but with school and such, my free time was taken by essays, reports, discussions and rebuttals. But now I can come out and play. And play, I did with those wonderful new releases from Angela's Hearts and Memories.  I colored two of the four new releases for August and here I am to share the results.  Excuse the horrible lighting as I am still looking for my photo light box.  Click on the name of the digital stamps (above the images) for a direct link to where you can buy them :)

SO CUTE!...

I made this card for a friendly "sketch" challenge on Card Making with Your Cricut facebook page.  I first started using bee stickers, then I saw those little bears that I had printed and cut on my silhouette Cameo (I can't remember where I got them as it was so long ago) and I decided to make something a bit "cutesy".  I love what I came up with.  Hope you will like it too.

Here's the sketch for the challenge:
and here's my card using the sketch above

SUPPORT FOR PARIS

The lovely Betty at Betty Simply Stamps was gracious enough to draw this poignant image, named Paris, and giving it to us FREE to show our support for the Parisians in their time of sorrow.  I am just getting to put this up on my blog.  With school I no longer have the same amount of free time and I color less and less.  I had to pass up participating in DT calls 'cause I knew that I would not be able to comply with the requirements.  But there is a light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully by the summer I should be finish with the program.
Once I colored the image, I started thinking of the background I needed to use to make it stand out.  I looked around in my craft room and my eyes fell upon my Craftwell ebrush system.  Dare I give it a try?  Well, why not?  It has been in my possession for over a year and I was yet to put it to good use. Since it comes with various attachements (copic, spectrum noir, sharpies, etc...) I thought I will use my copics.  I did not like the effect I was getting with copic so I tried my sharpies (the Noirs I own are the orginal markers and would not fit in the adapter).  Wow!..It worked marvelously with the sharpies.  You can see the result of using the red and blue sharpie on the card base.

Ooops..... I forgot to keep track of the colors I used.  My apologies
Hope you enjoy my coloring and the very simple card I made.
Thanks for stopping by :)

SBS - PUMPKIN QUEEN EXCHANGE HOP

Straddling the line between fall and winter, plenty and paucity, life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition.

Simply B Stamps decided to bring back the fun by celebrating with an
Halloween swap and a blog hop...Yeah!
Well this year, we were asked to do PUMPKIN-theme baskets, buckets or boxes
filled with goodies and candies. We were also asked to make a card or paper craft
using the Pumpkin Queen image. We had to keep the partner we were assigned
a secret until today.....

You can find the image by going to the Simply B Stamps website or clicking here.
I had a great time coloring the image and used a few techniques I have learned from
my coloring class.

So here are the  goodies from my secret partner Betty QueenofHalloween Roberts

Now let's continue on to the hop!..

You should have arrived here from visiting Teresa's page.
For your convenience, I have listed all the blogs included in this swap in case
you've missed one....

Stop by each and everyone and leave some love.
