BIRTHDAY CARDS

Here I am again to tell you how much I love making birthday cards.  My mind races in every direction until I can settle down and hone in on a particular design.  So I have tons of 'drafts' cards that I often refer to when I want to know what NOT to do....<<wink>>

These were all done with scraps I had from previous projects.  I match them with some colorful card stock and the rest is history.  The ribbons I got from Costco 6 years ago and I am finally putting them to good use.

the ribbon was from the "clearance section" at JoAnn's (label was totally not legible)

Sentiments from Bird's Cards

What I used:
- Lace borders, scroll circles as well as cutting files for rose edged cards are from Bird's Cards
- Spellbinders S5-128 Shapeabilities "Fancy Framed Tags Two"
- Spellbinders S5-030 Shapeabilities Mega Dies Fancy Tags Two
- Sentiments from Fiskars clear stamps "All Year Greetings" and other clear stamps I had long ago
- Butterfly punch from Martha Stewart collection (I added glossy accents to the butterfly for the shiny look)
- Small copper brad from Recollections
- Crop-a-dile II to adhere brads
- EK punches (small, medium, large) for the flowers
- Patterned paper from DWC (The Butterfly Garden, Dots & Spots).  Cannot remember where I got the      blue patterned paper (senior moments...lol)
- Darice Premium Cardstock in White, Black and Ivory
- Glue dots and pop dots
- gemstones

Thank you for visiting....

  2. Hi Carline- I love all of your cards- and you certainly have a way with ribbon- outstanding! There is something special about every card- love the dimension of your butterfly, love the shaped card, love the cut roses....all fabulous! I see you are a new blogger- welcome! And the gals at OWH are so welcoming... I started blogging almost a year ago- and I was so touched by everyone's kindness! And join the club on the senior moments....I prefer to think that I have sooo much stuff that I could not possbily know where it came from-rather than accept that I am getting old and forgetful-- LOL! Please keep sharing your creations with us! Diane
